And speaking of Simchat Torah -- meet Sha'arei Shalom, a Progressive (Reform) community in Saint Petersburg!
As I was googling for photos of mixed-gender Simchat Torah dancing celebrations, I happened upon the English-language website of a new congregation in Saint Petersburg. Take a look at this happy renewal of Jewish life in Russia. With a few setbacks with the rental location and much joy and celebration and learning!
