A reminder from the feline bishop, for your health

People are often tired and overwrought at this time in the spring. The resident feline bishop thus begs to remind you of her pastoral letter, "On the Necessity of Naps." Read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest.

Note: The bishop is currently napping, but the Canon to the Extraordinary, who is posting this note, is not doing so because she slept almost all morning. This exempts one from napping in the afternoon, though in cases of major necessity one can make exemptions to the exemption.

Grace, peace, and purrs to you from the Right Reverend and Right Honorable Maya Pavlova, Feline Bishop Extraordinaire. Now go and have a nap. Or two.

I sure could go for a nap right about now (sigh). Also, that tiny kitty bishop hat is amazing.

Thank you for this. As it is evening here it is time for the Long Nap. My long naps have been getting a bit shorter than they should, recently.

I am so pleased to hear that the Canon to the Extraordinary is finally listening to her bishop and practicing horizontal holy obedience. Your soul will be so much the stronger for it - and your body even more so. I am hoping for some high-altitude napping in the very near future.

Actually, I retired as Bishop of Pittsburgh. I'd done it for over 7 years (dog years, admittedly, but still, to a dog a year is a year!), and am in semi-retirement as a blogger, only saying nice things about nice people in a nice way. And I tried that inwardly digesting the pastoral letter, but my system didn't take to the paper I'd printed it on, so it turned into a little thing to clean up on the rug... but I did follow the advice of dear Bishop Maya. Oh oh, buzzer just went off, I must go for my noon nap now.
