Julian of Norwich, mystic, theologian, contemplative, counselor
May 8: Feast of Julian of Norwich
A May 13 postscript: I didn't have time to post any quotes or comments since the 8th was the day I left town, but here is a link to a post at Grandmère Mimi'sWounded Bird. The ever reliable and encyclopedic Paul Halsall has some links to Julian of Norwich items in his Medieval Sourcebook, in the section on sex and gender. Julia Bolton Holloway's Julian website is also interesting.
The Episcopal Church has an Order of Julian of Norwich, did you know? It has both nuns and monks. (One can also become an associate or an oblate.) The order's website has a nice introduction to Julian, too.
