Waiting for Stringfellow comments; practice patience: practice, practice, practice.
Simply to read the name is a joy to an old Sixties Radical: sniff. I renewed my acquaintance in the Eighties with Wylie-Kellerman's anthology, to which you link.
This and the Merton pix; I anticipate a winner. You an academic?
Yeah. Also a ministerial type, writer, and worker for justice. If you scroll down the right hand column of the main page of this blog you'll see a little bio of me at the bottom.
One of this blog's new friends, Kirstin, who just posted the smile above, is a seminarian at CDSP and bless her heart, recently wrote a Stringfellow paper which she posted to her blog a little while back. So people are rediscovering him, which makes me really happy. We need to read him today! And let the people say...
Antonio Gramsci and M.T. Winter? I must come back, but maybe not that often. Greensboro, huh? I have a friend who just took a tenured job (numero Uno!) at Eastern Carolina in Film Studies.
I live three blocks from Hartford Seminary, where M T teaches. I was in the UCC as a pastor when I ran into her most, in the late 80s and early 90s, but, being "retired", there's no longer as many occasions; she's definitely kewl people.
She sure is. Wait, you were a UCC pastor? So you got away from those Southern Arkansas Baptist roots (did I remember right?) that you mentioned on MP or someone's blog (where Mimi got your number, smart woman that she is). I bet we know a gazillion people in common since I have a ton of UCC minister friends -- though many of them in the Boston area.
See above on blog; I'm going to be less chatty the next few weeks; don't take it personally, I have to hide out and get some non-blog writing done and I'll also be on the road a few weeks from now. But keep checkin' in and writing. Cheers.
Thanks for filling in the word verification so that we know you're not a robot.
