Summer Disco: love and a trip down memory lane
Well, it's San Francisco, so you have to have politics AND love. Here's the love part, and you 1970s types will go into raptures of romantic memories. (With God and politics thrown in -- or not.) This isn't to everyone's taste, but it's an old favorite I found on eSnips. Hope it fits your day too.

ReplyDeleteI was doing background studies on Somalia or learning Vietnamese: sigh.
ReplyDeleteI heard at least a dozen Filipino/ Korean bands do "If You're Going To San Francisco" the following year or so, so my responses are unusual in that way. I think of toys I can't buy.
Takes me back to Donovan's concert at The Albert Hall, where (as far as I remember) he sang "Hampstead Incident" live for the first time... early 1967 I think. Eeek - I've just revealed how old I am ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's okay, Mike, we're all getting old with you :-).
ReplyDeleteI wasn't alive yet (born in 1970). I have a friend two years older, whose online moniker is Juniper. Guess why.
