Bonus Mary - a Guadalupe image
I know. her feast day is December 12, but Guadalupe is a year-round presence too and I like this mosaic of a dark-skinned Mary. (Or as my honors student Anna wrote in the title of her senior thesis, "Guadalupe: Mary, Goddess, or Both?)
Coincidentally, I read the story of Mary's apparitions to Juan Diego and the miracle imprint of a brownish likeness of Mary on his cloak at this site. It's a lovely story, the kind I would want to be true.

Both. Definitely both. Tonantzin watches over me.
