Mountain view: a memory of May

Back in May, I went for a little hike in the mountains of Western North Carolina, some pleasant exertion in the middle of a few days of rest and solitude. Here is a photo I took from the top of Max Patch Bald, a flat-top summit not far from Hot Springs, NC.

We will return to our usual wordy posts late tonight, with saints, nuns, mice, and other interesting features. Stay tuned.

    The mice get their own post.

    In fact, I must attend to one of them, so now that I have written about saints and nuns (or nun saints) I may wait till tomorrow to write about rodents.
