May Pearl rest in peace and rise in glory. May our brother John travel safely. May Pearl's children be in harmony with each other as they grieve for their mother.

(Note: there won't be sound at first, but this does work, so just turn the volume up a bit and wait. It's not Baptist from Arkansas, but Russian Orthodox via Maurice Jarre. We do sing a form of it too in the Episcopal Church.) (Sorry I could only find the Dr. Zhivago version of the Kontakion!)
Eternal rest grant unto Pearl, O Lord. May light perpetual shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
ReplyDeleteFather Almighty, I pray that you send your healing love upon Pearl's family and friends. Heal them in spirit, mind, and body. Give them comfort and consolation, strengh and courage to go on with their lives, and O Lord God, give them your peace that passes understanding to keep their minds and hearts in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Johnieb, if you see this, my mother was named Pearl, too. May she rest in peace, also. And may God give you peace, my friend.
Thanks, Mimi, and thanks to Jane R. for her help.
ReplyDeleteMay Pearl shine even more and grow in glory and continue praying for us who continue in this calamitous world.
ReplyDeleteMay Johnieb be comforted by our loving God and find strength to go on, hoping one day not only me, Jane or Johnieb, but us all will be in the company of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Holy Apostles, the Martyrs and all God's saints, including Pearl.
Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
