Mario Cuomo on the Constitution and the current war(s)
Always good to hear from Mario Cuomo. Also good to remember the Constitution of the United States. Remember the Constitution? See today's op-ed in the Los Angeles Times.
I'd be even happier to see Cuomo writing this if he'd mention the power Congress does still have to end the war: just don't fund it. This doesn't even require the Senate -- funding bills have to originate in the House.
Sure, Bush would probably steal the money. But the effect of simply not giving it to the war machine would be very clarifying.
