"Shouting Underwater" - Walter Mosley on Katrina, New Orleans, and us

My parents pointed me to this fine article from The Nation by Walter Mosley, one of my favorite novelists.

It is short and eloquent. It is about Katrina, its aftermath, and all of us. Read it.

Photo (one of the rare ones of Mosley without his hat) by Alex Waterhouse.

  1. I love Walter Mosley. Thanks for the link. I often read The Nation but I missed this one somehow.

There is so much to be outraged about that you almost need a scorecard.

  2. Jane, that is so very well-said. Yes. Iraq, Katrina, the whole mess is us.
