Completely unsurprising

I am not a math geek. I am a cool history/lit geek. (They didn't ask about theology.)

NerdTests.com says I'm a Cool History / Lit Geek. What are you? Click here!

But 31% dumb/dork/awkward? Moi?

And 53% sci-fi/comic? Hardly. I do own a Yoda t-shirt (a nice t-shirt, French-cut and red with a Yoda appliqué) from the year "The Empire Strikes Back" came out, so I think this little piece of Star Wars trivia upped my score. For the record, I do not own a comic book collection or watch sci-fi series (okay, a few Trek episodes back in the day).

These tests are silly. Why do we keep taking them? Discuss.

  1. Why? Because they're silly. And fun. And sometimes there's something to them.

Or perhaps we just like to measure ourselves, LOL.

  2. To be reminded of the silly things we humans do, sure enough.

I'm a little peeved at my own score (another pleasure?), to wit: "slightly" dorky?! I'm sure I would have done far better with a more carefully designed instrument, though perhaps not so well as the rest of you.

Of course, I completely denied being the least bit dorky in the last question; perhaps that lifted my score.

  3. Why? Usually I take them when I'm procrastinating. . . .plus, it's fun to compare ourselves in this silly and non-competitive way.

  4. OK; under comparatively uniform conditions of seriousness, more or less the way I answer all of these sorts of things, I improved my dorkiness one grade, or so I interpret, whatever the phrase was; "individual" is another that comes to mind: hmmph.

Has no one else faced these things in their industry? I've been "tested" for many years; cut it out.

  5. Or we don't take them. Simple.
