I found this without title or artist on the Web. Perfect illustration for one of my course websites. So up it went. Now, exhausted and nearly empty of words (I know, hard to believe - but a 16 hour work day will do that to me) I think you all might like it.

It is by He Qi.We have used it here:

with its companion pieces.
Oooooh, what a beautiful piece. Thanks. Sorry I missed the OCICBINY gathering and the NC gathering, but the West was beautiful and fun. Hope to meet you someday.
What a wonderful picture. I love it. Thank you.
Thanks! Jim, I hadn't seen the spirituality part of your EDOW website. Lovely. I've bookmarked it as a resource. You do such a wonderful job online. (Offline too, I'm sure.)
Speaking of spirituality resources, it looks like I have finally found a paperback publisher for When in Doubt, Sing, which nasty HarperCollins, the New York ones, let go out of print some years ago despite the demand, rave reviews, et al. Stay tuned. No contract yet but it's in the offing. And the potential reprint edition / paperback publisher actually approached me, which is very happy-making. (If and when we do this, we'll have a new Preface. I wasn't yet an Episcopalian when the hardback edition came out...)
You find the most exquisite art, Jane! I am jealous! I'd love to have a poster of this in our chapel at the prison.
Maybe there are posters of it, Shannon! I will find out.
My students liked the picture. That's a very androgynous Jesus too.
Sharecropper, it wasn't really an NC gathering -- I mean, it wasn't the one we are planning (with you, lj, Doxy, me, and whoever else is around, and we'll take a few Georgians and South Carolinians and folks from Tennessee, but do we let those Virginia types in? Though my friend Padre Rob is now in Virginia and he's a friend of this crowd - but he's from our diocese ;-)). We'll do that in the winter sometime. This was just me happening to be in lj's neck of the woods so we arranged to connect. It was great and we talked about getting us all together. We sure hope you'll be in on this.
There are pages of He Qi's art at www.missionaryarts.com which is all I had time to look at this morning. And the picture that you have here on the blog? Available as a $12 poster! Where's my credit card?
