Learning to live with the "almost"

Mike F of The Mercy Blog has an Advent post that spoke to me today in the midst of multiple deadlines (some missed, some met), dissatisfaction with myself, attempts to breathe deeply, strivings to finish up this most busy time of fall and yearnings for next week when life and work rhythms will change.

The post is a reflection by Episcopal priest Sam Portaro, whom some of you may know from his useful Brightest and Best: A Companion to the Lesser Feasts and Fasts, his work in campus and young adult and campus ministry, or this (which I haven't read yet, but which looks sensible and challenging) on vocation.

Read the post here. Read it slowly.

Thank you, brother Mike, for this reminder.
