Venice under water
Speaking of Venice (see previous post, immediately below)... Venice is flooded. Highest level in twenty years. Almost all streets are under water.

It seems that the environmental disasters are visiting everywhere this year. I fear this will continue year after year now. It's not a pleasant sight to see given that Venice is precarious as it is. So sad, such history being swamped by water.

ReplyDeleteI remember seeing all the photos of the flood in 1965 (?) and a beautiful cross in particular that was extensively damaged and how it eventually was restored.
