Friday cat blogging: you've all been waiting for this one

Well, here she is, Maya Pavlova, in all her glory. Enjoy. She is happy in her new home, and I am happy to have an in-house therapist. Everyone is happy

  2. Two quotes:

"Cats are intended to teach us that not everything in nature has a purpose." - Garrison Keillor

Of course, the insufferable Mr. Keillor is wrong as usual: cats exist to teach us the meaning of beauty and tolerance. That is not purposelessness. It is morality.

And this, not cute but faith and perfection itself:

"Who can believe that there is no soul behind those luminous eyes!" - Theophile Gautier. Not I. The day before my adored Pushkin died a year ago, I looked into her eyes and saw flatness. I knew then that it was time to send her home.
