Gorgeous cat... is this one still alive or is this the same cat who died last year?
Alas, same cat. He was still young, only a little over two years old. He died on the operating table, of cardiac arrest, for emergency surgery for a bladder blockage. The photo on the web is more luminous than the paper version -- it's nice to have him looking at us here. Glad I put it up, and glad to share him. He was a beautiful soul. His body was nice too :-). Very soft fellow. His name, Sensei, means "teacher" or "honored teacher" in Japanese. It's used after the name, so I would be Redmont Sensei or sometimes Jane Sensei, and you would be Caminante Sensei ;-). He was just Sensei, because of course in my house he was the real professor. I was only his humble and obedient servant.
P.S. Caminante, I just looked at your blog and realized you are from Vermont! We must talk sometime. It's one of my adopted homes. Haven't been there in a while but have some history there. Also glad to see you quoting Galeano.
