I don't know if she is part Aby. She does remind me of my Amadeus, cat of mine from 1979 to 1990 or so, who like her was a tabby (only more striped) and long and slender and who looked very Abyssinian with his triangular face. I got Maya (or she got me) at the local pet rescue shelter, so who knows what her parents were.
She was, the shelter description on her cage tag (and the website) said, "a baby having babies" when they found her abandoned. She delivered her babies and then took up residence at the shelter and there we met. I never met the kittens, or maybe I did and didn't know they were hers. She must have gotten pregnant during her first heat (she is very very friendly, so she may have been very very friendly to some boycat, though I shouldn't blame the girlcat, right?) because she is still quite young. She came to live with me last August, eleven months ago, and I will bet that she is still under two years old.
Anyhoo, thanks for the compliments. She is a beauty. And she's a character! Quite the personality. She is also very sweet, as you can see. And she does like that window seat.
