It didn't take long to see how consuming Facebook could be. After a couple of days I decided to ignore the apps. No plants, no blessings, etc. I've probably offended some but I'm too old to worry about that.
I still prefer the blogs to the Facebook soundbites.
Well, some addictions are just not all that bad. Facebookism is just not the same as alcoholism, drug addiction, or cigarettes. I say all this as a confirmed Facebook junkie(!) who had nothing whatsoever to do with Jane signing up. The devil made her do it.
In fact I have no idea how the hell I got recruited. Maybe the same legions of Hell?
Facebook adds a new angle to student-teacher interactions. I told my students the first day "Okay, cards up. We all know that we all have Facebook pages. I do and you do. The deal is I stay out of your pages until after the semester and you stay out of mine." So far I've kept to that.
And what could possibly be interesting about me to a community college student? We have so much in common...we're both breathing.

You know exactly what I have to say about that, missy.... ;-)
I do, and I feel guilty! I'm going on a diet. 30 minutes a day. I'll clock myself.
Oh, it's worse than I thought!
"I can SO drink just one!"
"I can quit any time I want!"
;-)
(Word verification is "facta"---add "life" to that and we've got a winnah!)
... and how am I supposed to tell which of the dozen or so possible Jane Redmonds is you?
(Having succumbed myself about a month ago... after having sworn I'd never, ever, etc.)
There is only one Jane Redmont (with a t on the end) in the entire U.S.

I have a friend who told me I would fall into the blackhole called facebook.
SHE WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!!
I tried to succumb, but FB ignored me for so long that now I haven't a clue as to how to find my own page!!
