Summer Disco: "Pata Pata"
Miriam Makeba again. This song was a big hit in France when I was in high school. This was in the late 1960s. It's very danceable, so get up of that chair. I know the song talks about weekend nights and it's only Tuesday, but dance, as Padre Mickey knows, is something for all times and seasons. Here's to Africa and the African Diaspora and their gifts of music to the whole world.

Oh my! We had this on an LP in my basement rec room. :)
:-)
I can still see the party at which we played this again and again and remember at whose apartment it was. (City kids -- all apartments, no houses.)
Well, gloty be, this got me unbanned over at MadPriest's though I was of course just posting this because I love it and wanted to share it with the assembled multitudes.
Now get up and listen again and dance some more.
