And she is NOT coming down until she gets a good answer.

Oh. I see +Clumber has given us an answer.

But is it a good one???

It is me Fran commenting from work, thus anonymously. Sort of.

Silly Clumber, I had linked to it already...

But that's okay, two whiskey cakes are better than none!

Alas, Your Ladyship, I simply forgot.

Fortunately, my Beloved Ex gave me an entire fruit cake and a plum pudding for Christmas, which I can enjoy at my leisure.

(And for any fruit cake haters out there, I want y'all to know that this is his great grandmother's recipe and is quite unlike the stuff one buys in stores, which I agree is an abomination, and furthermore I love nuts and dried fruit, so when you hold them together with a little flour and lots of booze and spice, well.....yum!)

Pablito, I was haranguing Jane, not you. You see, it's her kitchen cupboard, and she has bourbon and rum up there which she hasn't touched since last year. What is her problem?

Sheesh. Now my cat is telling me what to cook. It's true, I didn't bake this Christmas for the first time in years. I didn't even make the Argentinian Christmas cake. Perhaps I will make it for carnival season.

The Whiskey Cake was a new thing for me last year. I figured I should become a real Southerner and make something involving bourbon, sugar, and pecans.

I took that photo of +Maya Pavlova a couple of weeks ago, though, and since then I have had hot buttered rum. My friend Algernon inspired me. So at least the rum bottle got a little use.

+Maya loves to jump up into the kitchen cabinets. Of course, she is not supposed to, but when they are open she is very quick. Then she hangs out there out of reach, looking cute.
