I love New Mexico... it is a place that has always touched my soul. This photo reminds me of an extremely cold (about 8degrees F!)Sunday morning drive from Santa Fe to Taos.
And, I do love the red. the green is a nice contrast. When we were there, not so much green - very contrasty with beautiful sky. Glad it wasn't colder - think in October.
Jane -- thanks for the JFK posting. Thanks for the Abiquiu view. I live part time in New Mexico. And I also love GMH -- I like "Windhover" best but also love "God's grandeur" -- although I can't always manage sprung rhythm when reading aloud. We have a lot in common including Ann and Jim R. Ann was the person who burst into my dorm room to tell me that "They shot Jack". Should you want a place to stay in New Mexico or Colorado (near Mesa Verde) or just to talk, drop me a line at stammill at aol dot com.

Ahhh...I love the rock formations and big sky of the west.
